DC Announce Ongoing ‘Future State: Gotham’ Series Starring Red Hood

Fans who are enjoying the glimpses of tomorrow we’ve been seeing so far in 2021 rejoice! Future State: Gotham will be continuing the adventures of Red Hood, in a new, ongoing monthly comics series. Here are the facts, and a sneak peek glimpse at the covers, and design art!

Hunting Season Opens May 11, 2021

Fans following the exploits of Red Hood in the pages of Future State: Dark Detective know that Jason Todd, has turned on his Bat-family and is a bounty hunter for The Magistrate as part of their “zero tolerance” policy on masked vigilantes.

This May, Red Hood continues the hunt in an all new ongoing series, Future State: Gotham. Set in the world of DC Future State, this series continues against the backdrop of a possible future Gotham City seen in other titles such as Future State: The Next Batman, Future State: Harley Quinn, Future State: Robin Eternal and Future State Nightwing. Rendered in stark, black and white tones, Future State: Gotham will evoke the gritty, noir aesthetic that reinforces Gotham City as a living, breathing part of any Bat-family story.

Hunt The Next Batman

This six-issue debut story arc is co-written by Joshua Williamson and Dennis Culver, with art by Giannis Milonogiannis.

Disaster strikes Gotham City and all evidence points to Tim Fox, The Next Batman! Jason Todd chooses justice over his family and allies when The Magistrate enlists him to bring in the new Batman, dead or alive! Featuring the entire cast from the popular DC Future State Batman titles, Future State Gotham  begins the next chapter in this inevitable world of tomorrow and does so with this dynamic, noirish format.

 

The series debuts on Tuesday, May 11 in all comic book stores and participating digital retailers. Issue #1 features a main cover by Yasmine Putri, with a card stock variant cover by James Stokoe, available in comic book stores and participating digital retailers. Each 32-page issue sells for $3.99, with the card stock variant available for $4.99.

Mystic Muses: A D&D Podcast

If any of the previously mentioned things has piqued your interests, then I implore you to check out Mystic Muses. You can find this wonderfully crafted podcast where you can find all your other favourites including Spotify. There are currently four episodes out. Episode 0 is the prologue and character introductions, and I have to say it is very well put together! The intro to each episode is cleverly crafted, with the players and DM each sounding off a sentence to bring us into the game space. Fantastic Universes Interview: Madison, Matthew and Macsen Lintz From 'The Walking Dead'

I've spoken to some amazing people over the last couple of years; writers, artists, costume designers, and actors from some of my favorite TV shows. It's no secret that I'm a huge comic-book fan, and one of the TV series that's based on and inspired by a comics title - but has gone on to be so much more - is The Walking Dead . At a recent Comic-Con in London, I had the great opportunity of leading a panel where some fellow journalists and I spoke with Madison, Matthew and Macsen Lintz, three siblings who played Sophia and both iterations of Henry on the show. The eldest, Madison Lintz (born 1999) played Sophia Peletier - Carol's daughter - in the first two seasons. She's also well known for playing Maddie Bosch in the Amazon series Bosch .
