    This week Mike talks about the 6 issue crossover event between the main run of Star Wars Comics and the Darth Vader comics named “Vader Down”, where Vader is shot down over Vrogas Vas searching for Luke Skywalker, inadvertently discovering a rebel refuelling base and has to fight his way through hundreds of rebels with only the help of the rogue archaeologist Doctor Aphra, her homicidal droid companions and the power of the dark side!


    We recommend listening to episodes 9, 13, 15 & 17 of SWCIC (if you haven’t read the comics) as these episodes tackle the events leading up to the Vader Down crossover event.


    The 6 comics involved are Vader Down 1, Star Wars 13 & 14 and Darth Vader 13-15. Vader Down 1 and both Star Wars comics are written by Jason Aaron, the artist is Mike Deodato Jr and the colourist is Laura Martin for Vader Down and Frank Martin Jr for the Star Wars comics. The 3 Darth Vader comics are written by Kieron Gillen, the artist is Salvador Larroca and the colourist is Edgar Delgado. Vader Down #1 was released November 2015, Darth Vader #15 was released January 2016. The trade paperback collection was released April 2016 and the hardcover was released in February 2017.


    Last week Mike spoke about the Lando comic mini-series, the week before that was the second volume of Darth Vader comics and the week before was the Mace Windu comics. Previous episodes have been about Princess Leia, the Jedi Fallen Order Comic, how Obi-Wan & Anakin almost left the Jedi order, the Rogue One & Solo comics, Captain Phasma, Operation Cinder, how C-3PO got his red arm, Darth Maul beyond The Phantom Menace, Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber crystal and more!

Episode 0 is the prologue and character introductions, and I have to say it is very well put together! The intro to each episode is cleverly crafted, with the players and DM each sounding off a sentence to bring us into the game space. I've spoken to some amazing people over the last couple of years; writers, artists, costume designers, and actors from some of my favorite TV shows. It's no secret that I'm a huge comic-book fan, and one of the TV series that's based on and inspired by a comics title - but has gone on to be so much more - is The Walking Dead . At a recent Comic-Con in London, I had the great opportunity of leading a panel where some fellow journalists and I spoke with Madison, Matthew and Macsen Lintz, three siblings who played Sophia and both iterations of Henry on the show. The eldest, Madison Lintz (born 1999) played Sophia Peletier - Carol's daughter - in the first two seasons. She's also well known for playing Maddie Bosch in the Amazon series Bosch .
